Ambiance: 5/5 Service 5/5 Food 4/5 I've been here a few times over the years and never wrote a review. I must admit that I've never had a bad experience at Grange. Overall, Grange is a Sacramento staple. Although the menu maybe limited, they have consistently provided a nice venue for a mature audience to socialize, drink and eat.

This place is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was fun and the staff was amazing. The chef provided a special tartar for us that melted in our mouth. I would definitely recommend this place.

Had a dinner out at the Grange before a show last night. The service was excellent, the server and other staff were great. It's expensive, but you get what you pay for. The food was excellent, we had the ahi starter to split, and then we both had the trout and thought it was delicious. We're not big wine drinkers but what we ordered from the bar was excellent. Be sure to check out the art on the way to the bathroom and if you get a chance, ride the elevator and see the hotel. It's a great piece of Sacramento history.

The design and ambience are great. I got the steak, which was good but I ordered medium rare and it was slightly over. The lemon tart was nice. Service was good too. I am a little behind with this review, and I think the menu may have changed a bit.

Had the happy hour for once.... Not disappointed. The drinks were refreshing and at a good price. The staff was knowledgeable about the drinks and helped out with any question I had. Not too busy a during this time so it was quiet. Will come back.

The food here was good. Not amazing, not terrible, but better than decent. A good B+ or A- the presentation was excellent, but the flavors were a little bland. Service was very slow, but seemed to pick up as the night went on. The bathrooms are the worst part, as it's in the hotel attached, down the stairs in the basement, near the ballrooms. It's kinda creepy and wouldve drank less water had i known.

Don't hesitate to visit just because it's a "hotel bar". It holds its own. I'd put them up against any upscale bar and eatery. The bartender greeted us and offered suggestions based on our pallets. The full menu doesn't started until 1730. There were decent and creative dishes from the bar menu.

Grange is the Citizen Autograph Hotel restaurant. They do a good bar business in the evening with excellent breakfasts in the morning. We have been here a couple times and enjoy the service, ambiance and food. Today we had the lox and bagels and shared a large fruit bowl. The last time we visited Grange we also had the lox and bagels hence the two lox and bagels photos. Today's photo was a close up of the lox without the bagel:-) The large fruit bowl was excellently presented with a purple pansy. All fruit was nicely ripe and was large enough to share. Last night after a concert we had a shrimp tacos snack with wine. The hotel, and restaurant, has an old-world elegance with modern furnishings. We strongly recommend you try the Citizen Autograph Hotel and the Grange restaurant.

I was staying at the Citizen Hotel for work and decided to go to the Grange Restaurant after hearing it was a Michelin star restaurant. Be aware, that is a $$ or more. I ate with friends and got the scallops and sticky toffee pudding. Overall, the food was delicious and pretty. I liked everything I got and have no complaints. The staff was also really nice and accommodating. Pro Tip - I also got $10 for being a Marriott rewards member. I came back the next morning for the French toast. That was delicious with the candied pecans. I could eat a whole bag of those! It is a high end restaurant but was charged $6 for a hot tea to go. Seems a little too steep for hot water and a tea bag. Overall, really delicious and nice!

Our office held our holiday lunch at Grange in the private dining room. We had a set menu (photo + 2 additional entrées) to choose from for 1st and 2nd courses of a 3-course meal. I felt that ordering a Caesar salad at an upscale establishment would be criminal. However, it was a stellar! I loved it 100%! Service from our single waiter was knowledgeable and professional. Near the restrooms on the 2nd floor were autographed napkins. One notable was Robert Downey, Jr. There is valet parking and a city garage nearby but we parked on the street. The only complaint from our group was the duration of the meal. I'm unsure the reason for the slower service but our lunch took over 2 hours and we took our desserts to go. However, we all enjoyed the meal. If I were to return for a group meal, here, or anywhere, I'd express timing goals for our experience. If you're interested in trying Grange, do not hesitate. The food will not disappoint! Ambiance is pretty swanky, too.
